After War - Women Remember

Grace and Rita speak about their ongoing  work  -  after the war -   with the War Widows Guild and Rita's service on the Board at Morshead Home. Also recorded is  a moving recollection of the day Peace was declared.

Marge, who was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for her services to Australian war widows, reflects on her work with the ACT chapter of the guild  and in particular during the Year of Australia Remembers. She also speaks of the  rationale behind the Field Of Remembrance - to create a space for  the chief mourners; the wives and loved ones of veterans -  to mark their loss and remembrance.
